Beijing-based private equity firm Hosen Capital Ltd. aims to raise up to $1 billion for its third dollar-denominated fund.

Hosen Capital noted that the new fund will seek to buy stakes in Asian food producers and expects that more companies will be up for grabs in the region.

The company is seeking to make investments in the region, including in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

Hosen Capital, which manages a $130 million and a $460 million fund, expects the fundraising to commence by June.
